My name is Cathy Mahady. My husband and I live in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota We have a 22-year-old daughter in her last year of college. We also have a grown son and daughter in law, who are pursuing careers in law enforcement and health care. And they have blessed us with our first granddaughter and first grandson.
Prior to starting my career with Scent-Sations, I worked for many years in the human services field as a counselor and mentor, helping others to find personal success.
But after eight long years of waiting for the arrival of our daughter, we decided that I needed to be home with her and not return to full time work outside our home. We just were not willing to put her into daycare. So, I began looking for a business model that would allow me to stay home with my kids.
After trying a few other Network Marketing companies with no success, I was introduced to Scent-Sations in October 2003. At that point, I was hesitant to try yet another opportunity. But I passionately believed in the dream of working from home, so I jumped in and followed the system and haven’t looked back.
The first thing I noticed was how easy it is to share this clean burning candle with others through retailing. Then when I fully realized the potential of what we have to offer, I began successfully building a team of business partners.
Since then, I have become passionate about taking control of my life and not relying on others to determine my path. My business allowed me to be a full-time mother to my children during their formative years. I worked only a few hours a day, yet I brought home a nice income doing work that I am passionate about.
My income has allowed us to invest in rental property, take family vacations, pay for college funds, and all the extracurricular activities that my children wanted to do.
And the best part is I have no regrets … I am so grateful that this opportunity was shared with me. It allows me to have the lifestyle I want – that of being a mom AND a career professional – and doing it all from my home.
